15-Year-Old Student Stabs Classmate at a School in Yerevan
On September 24, a stabbing incident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 3:20 PM, a call was made to the Arabkir police department from the "Arabkir" medical center, reporting that a boy had been admitted with a diagnosis of "a cut wound to the middle third of the right thigh, upper third of the left thigh, and left superficial area of the buttocks." According to Shamshyan.com, hospital doctors informed the police that the victim was unable to provide an explanation of the incident.
While doctors fought for the child's life, the minors' affairs and criminal investigation departments of the Arabkir police quickly identified the victim as 15-year-old Davit M., a 10th-grade student from a local school in the Center administrative district of Yerevan.
The Arabkir police then conducted necessary operational- investigative measures and established that on the same day, around 1:30 PM, during an altercation near the school, Davit M. was injured by his classmate, 15-year-old Erik Y. Following explanatory work by the police, Erik presented himself to the Arabkir police department, where he gave a confession about the incident and also handed over the weapon used in the crime. He has since been released.
