With Joint Efforts of Residents and City Authorities, We Can Achieve Quick Results

The Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “What the majority of our courtyards look like and what they can be like if we want it. The first two photos show the same courtyard taken a few months apart. Residents of the courtyard at 12 Bakuntsi Street in the 4th district of Nor Nork initiated the cleaning of unattractive constructions that had accumulated in the yard, and subsequently, with the support of the community, the courtyard has been improved and landscaped. This is truly an exemplary case. Thanks to the joint efforts of residents and city authority structures, we can achieve quick results. We are all very excited—residents, local and city leaders. I thank everyone involved. I hope this example will be contagious for all other neighborhoods and courtyards.”
