The 'Caucasus-2020' Military Exercises Conducted with the Involvement of the RA Armed Forces and RF Armed Forces Units

On September 24, the live fire phase of the 'Caucasus-2020' strategic command-staff exercises was conducted in Armenia with the involvement of units from the Southern Military District of Russia and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia at the 'Alagyaz' training ground.

Motorized infantry units, artillery, tank, aviation, and air defense forces and equipment from both the RA Armed Forces and RF Armed Forces participated in the exercises, led by the commander of the joint grouping of forces, Lieutenant General Tigran Parvanyan.

During the exercises, defensive and counter-attack scenarios were practiced, aiming to enhance the immediate control of units during the execution of joint tasks and clarify cooperation in ensuring military security.

In total, more than 1,500 personnel and around 300 units of military equipment, including operational-tactical and army aviation as well as unmanned aerial vehicles from both countries, were involved in this phase of the 'Caucasus-2020' exercises held in Armenia.
