Provision of Combat Weapons to Certain Employees of the State Revenue Committee

The government plans to amend the Republic of Armenia's law on weapons, citing the necessity to provide combat weapons to employees of the State Revenue Committee (SRC). These weapons are intended for use in solving operational and service-related tasks.

According to Article 4, Part 1, Clause 6 of the Law on Operational-Intelligence Activities, the objectives of operational-intelligence activities include, among others, the prevention and detection of smuggling, as well as the illegal transportation of vehicles across the customs border of the Republic of Armenia.
