Turkey is Taking Open Steps, Says Military Expert

Military expert Karen Hovhannisyan stated on his Facebook page: “Turkey is clearly overstepping its bounds, and Armenia must demand that Turkey cease making openly hostile statements, which in turn escalates the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. Just one hour after the announcement of today’s victim due to Azerbaijan’s provocation, Turkish ‘Habertürk’ TV aired a report about the incident, claiming that the situation at the border has deteriorated because of the Armenian side. Moreover, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu took to Twitter, first expressing condolences to the family of the neutralized Azerbaijani serviceman due to today’s provocation, and then calling on Armenia to 'gather its wits and put an end to the aggression.' Turkey is determined to have a military presence in this region at all costs and is doing so in an overt manner.”
