Rustam Badasyan Calls on Enforcement Personnel to Pay Special Attention to Unjustified Restrictions
The Minister of Justice, Rustam Badasyan, participated on September 22 in the solemn ceremony of awarding employees and the swearing-in and handing over of service certificates to those appointed as enforcement officers for the first time.
The Chief Enforcement Officer, Sergey Meghryan, congratulated the minister and the employees of the Service in his welcoming speech, stating: “The formation of the free and independent 3rd Republic, as a legal state, was a historic ticket of justice for the Armenian people. Even today, when our country faces various challenges, the individual awareness of each of us is more important than ever in preserving what we have achieved, acting honestly, and ensuring the continued existence of a democratic, law-based state.” He emphasized that these awards are not merely formal; they are proof of the path you have taken. “My wish is that you do not stand still on the achievements but act with your full potential for the benefit of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia.”
Minister Badasyan also congratulated the attendees on the occasion of Independence Day and stressed that it is a good opportunity to reevaluate our service to the homeland. “First of all, we must believe in our work. For example, I believe that we will have an enforcement agency free of corruption. My deputies and Mr. Meghryan also believe this. I want the leadership of the Service and all employees to believe in this idea, to believe that we will have entirely different social guarantees, decent salaries, decent working conditions, and a corruption-free enforcement agency,” the minister noted, adding that to achieve this, we must believe in our tasks.
According to Rustam Badasyan, the Service was founded on poor practices that distanced it from citizens. “We often do not perceive citizens as partners, individuals to whom we are accountable, accountable to our society and our citizens. Rude conversations with citizens and indifference to their grievances are, of course, unacceptable for us. Therefore, I ask the leadership present here to pay special attention to unjustified restrictions being imposed,” emphasized the Minister of Justice, also noting that there are many objective problems that depend on the Service, but need systematic solutions through joint efforts.
During the event, in connection with the 29th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Armenia, several employees of the Service were awarded bonuses and prizes for performing their official duties and assignments properly, based on orders from the Chief Enforcement Officer. At the end of the event, an official ceremony took place for the swearing-in and handing over of service certificates to 8 individuals appointed as enforcement officers in various regional divisions of the Service. Sergey Meghryan wished the new employees a successful service and urged them to be diligent and responsible in fulfilling their professional duties. Minister Rustam Badasyan expressed hope that they would serve in a manner worthy of the spirit of the oath.
