Gurgen Alaverdyan Establishes Contact with Family Members

Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have visited the Armenian soldier Gurgen Alaverdyan, who is in captivity in Azerbaijan, as reported to "Azatutyun" by Zara Amatuni, head of communication programs at the ICRC office in Armenia.
Amatuni also mentioned that ICRC representatives checked on Gurgen Alaverdyan's conditions of detention and health status. According to Amatuni, Alaverdyan was given the opportunity to establish contact with his family members.
She further conveyed that during the months of August and September, ICRC representatives visited not only Gurgen Alaverdyan but also other individuals held in captivity in Azerbaijan.
