Arsen Torosyan and the Chinese Ambassador Discuss the Use of Chinese Vaccines

Today, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, had a telephone conversation with the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China (PRC) to Armenia, Tian Erlong.

Expressing high appreciation for the support of the Chinese people, government, and embassy in the development of Armenia's healthcare sector, the minister thanked the ambassador, emphasizing his personal efforts towards the implementation of support and cooperation programs.

Arsen Torosyan particularly highlighted the importance of the material and technical, as well as expert consultative assistance provided by China during the difficult fight against COVID-19.

The sides also discussed the possibility of further cooperation regarding the use of Chinese vaccines being developed against the coronavirus and equipping Armenia’s healthcare system with new equipment with the support of China.

Wishing success in the ambassador's future endeavors, the minister expressed confidence that effective bilateral cooperation programs would continue with the new Chinese ambassador.
