21-Year-Old from Sevan Charged with Stabbing Father and Son
On September 17, 2020, at 22:10, a report was received from the "Abovyan" medical center regarding two individuals seeking medical assistance. A 41-year-old resident of Byureghavan and his 18-year-old son were diagnosed with injuries: the father sustained a "penetrating stab wound to the front abdominal wall," while the son had a "non-penetrating stab wound to the left lateral side of the chest and a penetrating stab wound to the posterior surface of the left elbow joint."
A criminal case has been opened by the Kotayk Regional Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee based on Article 112 (causing serious harm to health intentionally) of the RA Criminal Code.
Investigation has revealed that the father and son received these injuries during a dispute with a 21-year-old resident of Sevan on domestic grounds. Several investigative actions have been carried out, including a site examination, during which blood-like trace samples were collected. Approximately 600 meters from the scene, a knife identified as the instrument of the crime was found and seized at the location indicated by the 21-year-old resident of Sevan.
Based on the obtained sufficient evidence, charges have been brought against the 21-year-old under Article 112, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
