On September 19, law enforcement officers were ambushed at the Amiryan-Mashtots intersection, due to suspicions that a suspect wanted in connection with a murder case from months ago in the Shengavit administrative district was located in that area.

Specifically, law enforcement surrounded the Amiryan-Mashtots intersection, urging drivers to urgently remove their vehicles from the area so they could carry out their operation and apprehend the suspect in the murder case.

According to eyewitnesses, the law enforcement officers were armed, and citizens present in the area also reported hearing gunfire.
