The Independence and Freedom of the Country Begins with the Independence and Freedom of the Individual. Anna Hakobyan

The wife of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Hakobyan, has issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of independence:

“The Day of Independence carries a special message to better understand ourselves, our country, our identity, our history, opportunities, and our potential.

The independence and freedom of the country begin with the independence and freedom of the individual. A country is independent, free, and strong only when every citizen, regardless of gender, age, social standing, or health condition, feels free, independent, strong, and protected within that country.

Today, women make up the majority of our society, and unfortunately, many of them break seemingly insurmountable stereotypes every day to work in their chosen professions, live with dignity, protect their and their children’s rights in various situations, demonstrate civic awareness, or take responsibility for the future of the state.

The strength of a free and independent Armenia relies not only on its brave and courageous sons but also on its daughters, who can be just as brave and courageous while being dignified and humble mothers, sisters, and women in families and citizens of their country.

The freedom and independence of the country are measured by the equal opportunities of each individual citizen to live and create in that country.
