Number of Poisoned Individuals at Surb Grigor Lusavorich Hospital Reaches 50, New Supplier Providing Food Since Yesterday
The number of food poisoning cases at Surb Grigor Lusavorich Hospital has reached 50. This was stated by the hospital's spokesperson, Tsovinar Khachatryan, in an interview with ArmDaily.am, adding that the increase in numbers is due to a change in shifts.
Among the poisoned individuals, 8 are patients, including 2 pregnant women, with the remainder being medical staff. Tsovinar Khachatryan noted that everyone's health condition is currently satisfactory and that they do not have fever.
It should be noted that the preliminary assumption is that the cause of the poisoning is the food service point “Art Lunch” operating within the hospital grounds, specifically the meat pilaf that was provided on that day. Relevant authorities have already taken samples for examination to investigate the circumstances. The results of the examination are still pending.
Since yesterday, “Art Lunch” has ceased food supply, and another supplier is now providing meals.
