4-Year-Old Injured by Metal Rod at Mega Mall: Parent Raises Alarm, Mega Mall Responds

SHAMSHYAN.com has received an alert from Yerevan resident Armine Miribyan. She reported that her 4-year-old child was injured in the eye while at the 'LC Waikiki' section of the Mega Mall shopping center, citing a lack of safety standards.

According to the source, Miribyan stated, 'The child was standing next to the parent in the Mega Mall and accidentally put their eye into a sharp metal rod. None of the safety standards comply with these rods; my entire concern is that these rods should be changed or have silicone coverings added so that other children's eyes don't get injured. This happened in the children's section, but no child safety standards are being upheld. The child was trying on shoes and hit their eye against the rod while picking them up.'

Miribyan informed the management about the incident, to which she reported receiving a response: 'You can come with anyone you want, do you want to come with a lawyer? Then we will talk with equals; and one more thing they said was to write a letter that needs to be sent to Turkey since the product was sourced from there.'

Auroranews contacted the executive director of the Mega Mall, who stated that the incident occurred in the 'LC Waikiki' section. He mentioned that the representatives of the 'LC Waikiki' showroom have already spoken with the customer in this manner. Furthermore, no responsible person at the Mega Mall has been in contact with the parties involved in the incident. Currently, the Mega Mall management has invited the head of the 'LC Waikiki' showroom for clarification.
