Gagik Tsarukyan's Son Interrogated in Connection with Murder Case at "Partez" Restaurant
The son of the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, Nver Tsarukyan, has been interrogated as part of the preliminary investigation into the murder that took place on January 29, 2019, in the courtyard of the "Partez" restaurant in Abovyan.
This information was provided by the Investigative Committee of Armenia in response to a query from Sputnik Armenia. The response stated, "During the preliminary investigation, Nver Tsarukyan has been interrogated as a witness; however, due to the confidentiality of the investigation, it is not possible to provide details regarding how many times and when this occurred at this stage."
In contrast, Nver Tsarukyan's lawyer, Emin Khachatryan, has informed that the interrogation took place in June after his client recovered. "Yes, he has been interrogated. It was immediately after the second test when the test result came back negative that we, on our initiative, presented ourselves to the investigating authority and answered the relevant questions," Emin Khachatryan said.
He also noted that his client continues to hold the status of a witness, and this is the second time he has been interrogated in this capacity, the first one having occurred in 2019, shortly after the incident.
