Navalny Provides Details on His Recovery
Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has shared details about his recovery. According to Armenpress, he mentioned on his Instagram page that not long ago, he did not recognize people, could not remember, or talk. He still has trouble using a phone, and pouring and drinking water has become like an 'attraction'.
“Every morning, the doctor would come to me and say, 'Alexei, I have brought writing materials, let’s think about what word to write.' This drove me to despair, as I, in general, understood what the doctor wanted, but I did not understand where to get the words, in which part of the head they are born. Since I didn’t know, I just remained silent,” Navalny stated.
He described experiencing trembling in his legs, especially when moving up and down stairs. Navalny noted that there are still many problems to solve and expressed his gratitude to the doctors.
Alexei Navalny continues to receive treatment at Berlin's Charité hospital. He was hospitalized in Omsk, Russia, on August 20, after his health deteriorated during a flight. Russian doctors later discovered a metabolic disorder that caused a sharp drop in blood sugar levels. Russian specialists found no toxic substances in Navalny's body. Subsequently, he was transferred to Germany, where it was announced last week that he had been poisoned with a substance from the 'Novichok' group.
