Following the July events, the Armenian government decided to allocate funds to restore the damage caused by shelling in border villages. Works are underway on a total of 21 residential houses, of which 16 are in Aygepar, 3 in Nerkinskiy Karmiraghpur, and 2 in Chinari. A new private house is also being constructed from scratch in Chinari.

In Aygepar, Nerkinskiy Karmiraghpur, and Chinari, roofs have been built for 48 houses and more than 70 adjacent structures, and structural restoration works have been carried out.

The residents of Aygepar are enthusiastic, saying, 'We were born here, we should live here.' 'We only want peace, I don’t want to hear gunfire, that’s all,' says a local resident, grandma Lida.

The house of Andranik Margaryan suffered the most damage from enemy fire in Aygepar. He keeps old photos of his damaged house on his phone and is now actively engaged in construction work. He recounts that just two weeks before the shelling, he was sitting in the same place with his entire family. 'But, understanding the situation, we moved to a safe place,' Andranik says.

Tavush Governor Hayk Chobanyan assures that the repairs of the houses damaged by enemy shelling will be completed within two weeks. 'The villages of Tavush province have been subjected to massive shelling over the past 30 years, and work of this scale, especially operationally, has never been carried out,' notes the governor.
