Police Discover Large Quantities of Drugs in Masis
The officers from the Masis Police Department received information that a 56-year-old resident of Noramarg village was illegally cultivating, storing, and using drugs on his backyard land. After verifying the information, the anti-drug division of the main criminal police department, along with regional police services and investigators from the Masis department, discovered 7 cannabis plants from the specified backyard area. Furthermore, they found a glass container filled with dried, crushed plant matter with a distinct odor inside the house.
The police also identified cannabis-like substances on the dining table of the house. Simultaneously, the homeowner presented branches of cannabis and a semi-dry mass made from cannabis. According to him, the seized items were cannabis drugs that he cultivated for personal use.
The police reported that examinations have been commissioned, and materials are being prepared. Notice: A suspect in a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty as per the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, with a court ruling that has become legally binding.
