Video: ‘Popcorn is not food’ – Police fines citizen for not wearing a mask while eating popcorn

A Facebook user, Valeri Manucharyan, has shared a video in which a police officer fines him for not wearing a mask. The absurdity of the situation arises from the fact that the citizen was eating popcorn at the time, and the officer claims that popcorn is not considered food.

The police officer states, “You say you are eating, but popcorn is not food. Popcorn is not something you eat to sustain yourself.” When asked if the law specifies that one must only eat berries, the officer responds, “No, the chief has said that you only need to remove your mask while eating. And popcorn is not food. You can file a complaint, and they will tell you what popcorn is.”
