The Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, has shared a video on his Facebook page, stating: "Today, first-graders have gone to school for the first time. I congratulate our little ones and their families. I want this unique start of the academic year, due to the pandemic, to be remembered by our children as an interesting episode of life, and we will do everything we can to ensure their safe and regular education."
