No Grounds for a Color Revolution in Belarus like in Armenia or Ukraine, Says Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that, unlike Armenia or Ukraine, there are no grounds for a "color revolution" in Belarus. In an interview with Russian media, he emphasized that there are no classic, deep reasons that would lead to such a development in Belarus.

"Our economy is, good or bad, still alive. There are no classic foundations that would cause the same events as in Ukraine, Armenia, and elsewhere. When people are unemployed and have nothing to eat, that's a disaster," he said.

Lukashenko explained that even amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Belarus managed to maintain its economy and did not shut down production, while accumulating unprecedented large reserves of agricultural products.
