Father Damages Murderer's Father's Car After 39-Year-Old Son's Murder in Artashat
On September 9, a murder occurred in the Ararat region. Around 02:30, the Artashat police received a call from the emergency room of the medical center in Artashat, reporting that a young man had been transported with a life-threatening stab wound to the abdomen. According to shamshyan.com, medical staff informed the police that the victim was unable to provide any explanations regarding the incident.
The injured individual was identified as 39-year-old Armen Gasparyan, a resident of Artashat. While the police, along with investigators from the Ararat regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee, were conducting necessary operational and investigative actions to clarify the circumstances of the case, a report was received around 06:30 from Artashat hospital indicating that the victim had died without regaining consciousness.
Shortly thereafter, police and investigators efficiently determined the location of the incident and identified the person responsible for the stabbing, apprehending the suspect in a timely manner. The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Davit Vardanyan, also a resident of Artashat, who was taken to the police station where he was formally charged.
According to sources, law enforcement officials also located the weapon used in the crime—a knife. Additionally, a damaged "Opel Zafira" vehicle was found in the market area of Artashat, which belonged to Davit Vardanyan's father. Reports indicate that the slain man's father damaged this vehicle using a wrench.
