Suspect Wanted for Murder Found After 9 Months
In the village of Lanjazat, Ararat province, 41-year-old Armen S. has been found and brought to the Erevan police department. The man, who is registered in Yerevan, had been wanted since December 23 of last year for committing a particularly serious crime, with the pre-trial measure being detention. He has been transferred to a correctional facility. The preliminary investigation of the initiated criminal case is ongoing. This information was provided by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
Recall that on December 18, 2019, around 22:20, the Erevan police department received a call from the “Erebuni” medical center reporting that the body of a man had been brought to the hospital. Officers from various police departments who went to the medical facility established that the deceased was a 43-year-old resident of 4th Street of the Railway Workers, who had been taken to the hospital from 2nd Street of the Railway Workers. The man had been shot right at that location.
Through extensive operational-investigative measures and investigative actions, factual data regarding the identity of the person who committed the murder was obtained, and the murder was solved with fresh traces. A decision was made to involve 41-year-old Armen S. as a defendant, and a wanted notice was issued on December 23.
