Mandatory Quarantine Period in Georgia Reduced to 8 Days, Says Gakharia
According to Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, the quarantine requirement for entering the country will now last 8 days instead of the previous 14 days. This was reported by aliq.ge.
Gakharia stated that on the 9th day, if a citizen receives a negative result from a PCR test, they will be allowed to leave the quarantine zone; however, they will also be required to take another PCR test on the 12th day.
“We are reducing the quarantine days to alleviate additional discomfort for our citizens as well as for guests. With this decision, we are decreasing the number of quarantine days and providing our citizens with more freedom so they can return to their families as soon as possible and in good health,” Gakharia announced.
