Major Car Accident-Fire in Kotayk Province: BMW Crashes into Huge Rocks and Catches Fire

On September 7, a major car accident-fire occurred in Kotayk Province. Around 1:00 PM, the driver of a BMW, traveling from Yeghvard to Yerevan, veered off the road in the administrative area of Yeghvard under still unknown circumstances, collided with massive rocks, and exited the roadway.

As a result of the collision, a fire broke out in the vehicle, and one person was transported with various degrees of burns first to Yeghvard Hospital, and then to Yerevan's Burn Center.

Emergency Response Team No. 44 from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene with one firefighting unit. The firefighters extinguished the fire in the vehicle, but it had completely turned into a pile of ashes.

The police are investigating the identity of the driver and the injured party.
