50-Year-Old Man from Armavir Arrested for Brutally Killing His Acquaintance in Russia Years Ago

A 50-year-old resident of Armavir has been arrested for intentionally murdering his acquaintance years ago in Russia. It has been revealed that he inflicted multiple blows with a blunt object, a screwdriver, and an electric shock weapon to various parts of the woman's body. Her body was discovered about a week later in a landfill for household waste in the region.

This information has been reported by the public relations department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, detailing several aspects of the case. The investigative department of the Armavir regional Investigative Committee has completed the preliminary investigation of the criminal case regarding the intentional murder that took place years ago in the Russian Federation.

As a result of the conducted investigative and procedural actions, several circumstances of the murder and its motive have been established. According to the data obtained during the investigation, the 50-year-old resident of Armavir, while located in the Tosno district of the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation, during a dispute caused by personal problems with his acquaintance on October 7-8, 2015, intentionally aimed to take her life by inflicting multiple blows with a blunt object, a screwdriver, and an electric shock weapon to various parts of her body, causing injuries incompatible with life, resulting in the woman’s death.

Days later, on October 12, her body was found in a regional landfill for household waste, within the technical descent of oil pipeline systems. Based on the sufficient combination of evidence obtained, the 50-year-old man has been charged under part 1 of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code (murder). Pre-trial detention has been chosen as a measure of restraint against him. The preliminary investigation has concluded, and the criminal case has been sent to court with an accusatory conclusion.
