36-Year-Old Son Accidentally Shoots and Kills His 65-Year-Old Father While Hunting in Gegharkunik

On September 7, a brutal and tragic incident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. Around 11:30 AM, the police department in Gavar received a call reporting a gunshot from one of the mountains in the Gavar administrative district, with a fatality involved.

According to shamshyan.com, police and investigators have determined that the deceased was 65-year-old Khachik S., a resident of Gegharkunik Province, who sustained a fatal gunshot wound accidentally discharged by his 36-year-old son, Aleksan S., during hunting.

Investigative materials are being prepared in connection with the incident. Law enforcement officials have also recovered the firearm as well as the vehicle that was used to attempt to transport the injured person to the hospital.
