10 Transportation Vehicles Suspended for 24 Hours

A regulatory action conducted jointly by specialists from the State Inspection Body for Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety and the RA Traffic Police has resulted in the temporary suspension of operations for 10 transportation vehicles servicing routes N 26, N 58, and N 63 in Yerevan for 24 hours, based on the decision of the RA Prime Minister on September 7.

During the suspension, specialists from the Transport Safety department of the State Inspection Body continued enhanced monitoring of public transportation activities in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan from early morning. The inspections did not reveal any violations among passenger taxi vehicles. However, significant issues were once again noted in vehicles operating on regular routes, with cases of exceeding passenger capacity recorded in nearly a dozen instances.

Administrative reports have been drawn up regarding the violations registered. The inspection body’s specialists have engaged in extensive explanatory and informational efforts. To ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, the State Inspection Body continues to carry out intensified monitoring and supervisory activities in the regions and various administrative districts of the capital.
