Ashot Hovsepyan's Second Test Result is Negative; He Will be Retested in Alcohol Poisoning Case

It is noted that Ashot Hovsepyan is currently suffering from pneumonia and has severe diabetes, requiring insulin injections several times a day.

In connection with this case, two individuals are currently in custody. Reportedly, during the period from August 31 to September 5, 46 poisoning cases were recorded in the republic, of which 17 resulted in fatalities. Among these cases, 29 were registered in the Armavir region, with 9 fatalities, 15 in Yerevan, with 7 fatalities, and 2 in the Kotayk region, with 1 fatality.

At present, 13 patients are receiving treatment for alcohol poisoning in various medical centers across the republic. A criminal case has been initiated under part 3 of Article 279 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (release or sale of goods that do not meet safety requirements, or carrying out work or providing services).

Three individuals have been arrested.
