Video: The Person Who Set Fire to the Cafe Has Been Arrested - Police Disclosure

On August 21, around 7 AM, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report from the Artashat firefighting unit that smoke was coming from a cafe on Tovmasyan Street. An operational group immediately arrived at the scene. Law enforcement officials determined that someone had entered through the back door of the cafe and deliberately set the building on fire, resulting in the burning of seven rooms along with their furnishings.

Together with firefighters, the blaze was extinguished. A criminal case was initiated regarding the incident. Through measures taken to identify and locate the individual who deliberately destroyed or damaged property, investigators received information that the cafe may have been set on fire by a 78-year-old resident of Artashat. On August 27, the suspect was brought to the department.

He has provided a confession and has been arrested. Circumstances are being clarified. The investigation into the initiated criminal case is ongoing.
