Tihanovskaya Supporter Olga Kovalkova Claims Belarusian Authorities Expelled Her from the Country

Olga Kovalkova, a member of the Belarusian opposition coordination council, has announced that she was expelled from the country in the same manner as presidential candidate Svetlana Tihanovskaya. "Today I was expelled from Belarus, just like Svetlana Tihanovskaya. This is becoming a bad habit for the authorities—to expel Belarusian citizens or prevent them from returning to our country," Kovalkova said during a press conference, as reported by INTERFAX.RU.

"The authorities cannot expel the entire nation from the country. There are no other people in this country, and there will be none," the opposition figure emphasized, expressing her intention to return soon.

In recent weeks, Kovalkova described her experiences in prison as torture. She stated that she was threatened: "In prison, I had deteriorated health and requested an ambulance, but instead, people came who announced that I would either be expelled from the country or would stay in prison for a long time," added Tihanovskaya's supporter.

It was previously reported that Kovalkova has left the country and is currently in Warsaw.
