Major Car Accident in Ararat Region: BMW, Mercedes, and MoD Truck Collide; BMW Overturns with Casualties

Today, on September 5, a major car accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 11:00 AM, on the 28 km stretch of the Yerevan-Eraskh highway, a BMW, a GAZ 3308, and a Mercedes collided.

According to Shamshyan.com from the scene, three individuals have been hospitalized with bodily injuries as a result of the accident. The BMW overturned and ended up on the iron barriers installed in the divider zone.

The report states that the GAZ 3308 is registered under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia. Meanwhile, the Mercedes veered off the roadway and landed in a field. The police are investigating the identities of the drivers and injured parties. Preliminary information suggests that the cause of the accident was the MoD vehicle, which attempted to cross in an unauthorized area, leading to the collision.
