Gasoline and Diesel Prices Increased in August
In the non-food product market, there was a 0.6% increase in prices in August 2020 compared to August 2019 and also compared to July 2020. This was reported by the Statistical Committee.
In August 2020, compared to July, prices for various types of footwear decreased by 2.1%, clothing by 1.6%, glass tableware, kitchenware, and home furnishings by 0.5%, and renovation materials, furniture, small household appliances, and cleaning and washing products by 0.1%.
At the same time, an increase in prices was recorded for carpets and floor coverings by 0.1%, household and gardening tools by 0.3%, pharmaceutical products by 0.6%, fuel and lubricants by 3.1%, and jewelry by 9.5%.
In August 2020, compared to July, the Republic recorded an increase in gasoline and diesel fuel prices by 8.7% and 1.1%, respectively. In August 2020, compared to August 2019, gasoline and diesel fuel prices decreased by 23.0% and 29.8%, and compared to December 2019, by 19.5% and 24.4%, respectively.
