French Actor Gérard Depardieu Converts to Orthodoxy

French actor Gérard Depardieu has converted to Orthodoxy. According to Russian media reports, the ceremony took place at the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Paris. The 71-year-old Depardieu was not only baptized but also became the godfather of a little girl. Around 30 people attended the ceremony.

It is reported that this is not the first time Depardieu has changed religions. In the 1960s, the famous French actor converted to Islam, after which he expressed interest in Buddhism and Hinduism.
