Chlorine Cylinder Explodes in Western Iran, at Least 230 People Poisoned
At least 230 people have been poisoned due to the explosion of a chlorine cylinder in western Iran. This information was reported by Izvestia, referencing Mehr news agency. Previously, it was reported that 120 residents were affected and at least 106 were hospitalized.
“The general condition of all the individuals, except for six who have asthma, is assessed as satisfactory, and one person has been hospitalized in the intensive care unit,” said Mojtaba Khaledini, a representative of Iran's emergency services.
The incident occurred on Friday in the residential area of Zanjir in Ilam province. According to ISNA, the cylinders were in the cargo of a truck, and one of them exploded during transport.
