Video: Large Quantities of Drugs and Weapons Discovered by Police

The Criminal Police Department's Anti-Drug Trafficking Unit received operational information that was acted upon on September 2. As part of the criminal case, a search was conducted at one of the houses on Khapancyan Street in Yerevan, involving officers from the Arabkir Investigation Department, Arabkir detectives, and specialists from the Police's Main Department of State Protection.

During the search of the home owned by two brothers, aged 40 and 37, a large quantity of drugs and weapons was discovered. Specifically, the authorities seized 0.4 grams of cocaine, 1.5 grams of heroin, 8.4 grams of opium, 5.8 grams of methamphetamine, and 554.8 grams of substances resembling marijuana, approximately 1200 grams of methadone tablets, a substance resembling anhydride acetic acid measuring 5 milliliters, 29 lorazepam tablets, 38 tramadol tablets, and 15 pregabalin psychoactive tablets.

The arsenal of weapons seized was also substantial, including two Derringer-type pistols, one Parma pistol, one Nagant revolver, an automatic firearm, an RGД-type grenade, and various 333 cartridges. Forensic chemical and ballistic examinations have been appointed.

One of the brothers has been arrested, and measures are being taken to locate the other. An investigation is underway.
