VIDEO: Police Detained Man Who Damaged Bus Stops

On August 31, a report circulated online about damage to bus stops in the Malatia-Sebastia community. A man was seen striking the glass panels of the bus stop pavilions with his fists and feet, breaking a total of 6 stops.

Thanks to joint operational measures by the criminal investigation departments of the Yerevan Police and the Malatia division, the identity and location of the man were established in a short time.

Hours after the incidents, on September 1, police officers detained him at the Malatia division, where the suspect provided a confession. According to preliminary data, the 36-year-old resident of Yerevan, who had returned to the homeland months ago, damaged property belonging to residents of Yerevan due to frustrations stemming from family issues.

Such acts are condemnable not only from a legal standpoint; each of us should show care for our city, our homeland—building and nurturing rather than damaging and destroying.
