Waste Sorting to Be Implemented in 14 Schools of Armavir Region

Waste sorting will be implemented in 14 schools of the Armavir region starting from this school year. Approximately 100 sorting bins have been installed in the schools, designated for plastic and paper waste.

The event was attended by the Second Secretary of the Lithuanian Embassy in Armenia, representatives from the Armavir regional administration and the municipality, school management staff, and the team from the NGO "Ays ES ES Di." The program is being implemented by the NGO "Ays ES ES Di" in cooperation with the Lithuanian Embassy in Armenia and with the support of the Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Program.

In the Armavir region, "Ays ES ES Di" collaborates with a total of 35 public and private institutions. The "Recycle it!" project started in 2018. The aim of the project is to promote the culture of waste sorting and recycling in Armenia by increasing awareness of waste management and the installation of sorting bins.
