Video: About 200 Liters of Unknown Origin Vodka Discovered in Arrested Man's Home

Law enforcement officials have discovered approximately 200 liters of home-made vodka of unknown origin at the residence of 50-year-old Ashot Hovsepyan on Republic Street in Armavir, who was arrested on suspicion of selling products that do not meet safety requirements.

Authorities are urging all citizens who purchased alcoholic beverages from this individual to refrain from consuming them and to report to law enforcement. The preliminary investigation into the criminal case is ongoing.

It is worth noting that from August 31 to September 1, there were 23 registered cases of alcohol poisoning in the country, including 11 fatal cases. Out of the 23 cases, 17 (with 8 fatalities) were reported in the Armavir region, all involving vodka purchased from the same source, which was homemade. The remaining 6 cases were recorded in Yerevan, with 4 resulting in death. All affected individuals had consumed medical alcohol.
