VIDEO: 'Thief-in-Law' Andranik S. Arrested; Police Investigation Revealed
Law enforcement officers from the Main Department of Criminal Police have successfully uncovered another case involving individuals of high rank in the criminal hierarchy leading a group related to criminal subculture, as well as others participating in such a group.
Thanks to the professional and operational actions of the criminal detectives, it was revealed that a citizen had stolen goods worth around 4 million drams from another citizen in July. Subsequently, a member of a group led by a so-called 'criminal authority' took the individual to his location to discuss the return of the stolen goods.
Amidst this, the so-called 'thief-in-law' Andranik S. learned of the situation. He ordered through another individual for the 'criminal authority' to halt the discussions, with an agreement to resolve the issue himself later. This so-called 'criminal authority' then instructed a member of his group to bring the individual who had committed the theft to him, after which he was released and Andranik S. was informed of this.
A criminal case has been initiated at the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, which has been forwarded to the Investigative Committee. The 52-year-old Andranik S. has been arrested. An active fight against the criminal subculture is one of the main directions of police operations. In order to eradicate such manifestations from society and public consciousness, relevant subdivisions of the Main Department of Criminal Police conduct various activities on a daily basis, the results of which have been reported several times.
The incident recorded today is another success in the police's active fight against the pernicious phenomenon of high-ranking individuals in the criminal hierarchy leading groups related to criminal subculture, as well as others participating in such groups.
