«Zhoghovurd». Kindergarten staff are calling parents one by one to ask if children will attend if kindergartens reopen
Kindergarten staff have begun the process of registering children for the upcoming academic year. According to the reports from the newspaper ‘Zhoghovurd’, kindergarten teachers are calling parents in their groups one by one to inquire whether their children will attend if the kindergartens reopen on September 15.
It is important to note that similar registration activities took place as early as the beginning of May, after which a decision was made to reopen kindergartens on May 20. However, the number of children who attended the kindergartens was fewer than expected, which led to their closure once again.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that after the reopening, several kindergarten staff members fell ill with COVID-19. ‘Zhoghovurd’ learned that this time, parents have assured the teachers that they will be sending their children to kindergarten.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that as of September 15, classes will resume in all public schools, as well as primary and secondary vocational institutions, music, art, and fine arts schools across Armenia. Classes will be conducted in-person while adhering to sanitary and hygienic regulations. Decisions regarding universities and several other educational institutions will be made within the coming week.
