Emergency Management Headquarters Discusses Testing Arrangements for Arrivals at Armenian Airports
The Emergency Management Headquarters of Armenia is working on creating the possibility for testing arriving individuals for coronavirus directly at the airport. This was stated by Vahan Hunanyan, the spokesperson for the Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Emergency Management Headquarters, Tigran Avinyan, in an interview with Armenpress. This comes in light of the easing of restrictions on the state of emergency, which has lifted the ban on entry to Armenia for non-citizens.
It is anticipated that upon entry into Armenia, if an individual does not require hospitalization, they will be self-isolated for 14 days. However, testing can be conducted during this 14-day period, and if the result is negative, they will be released from the self-isolation regime.
Hunanyan noted that if testing is not conducted at the airport, the arriving person will immediately go to their self-isolation location and will not have the right to leave, even for the purpose of undergoing a test.
