Zareh Sinanyan Has Received Bonuses 11 Times Since Taking Office
The chief commissioner on diaspora affairs, Zareh Sinanyan, has received bonuses 11 times since assuming office, according to Factinfo. The Prime Minister's Office has reported that from June 14 to December 31, 2019, Sinanyan was awarded bonuses seven times. This means that the chief commissioner on diaspora affairs received bonuses monthly for seven consecutive months, even before results of his work could be clearly seen, and he has received four bonuses this year.
Factinfo had sent an official inquiry to the office of the chief commissioner on diaspora affairs to find out what Zareh Sinanyan's official salary rate is, how much he earned last year, and how many bonuses he received. According to the written response obtained, Sinanyan's official salary coefficient is 10.50, which amounts to 694,470 AMD. From June 14 to December 31 of the previous year, Zareh Sinanyan was paid 4,428,002 AMD in salary. Additionally, he received a bonus every month. During the seven months, he received bonuses totaling 4,784,170 AMD.
Bonuses for Sinanyan continued this year, despite the crisis created by the pandemic, with him receiving bonuses four times in the first half of 2020, totaling 2,738,000 AMD.
The employees of the chief commissioner's office have also not been excluded from receiving bonuses. According to written information received with the signature of the Head of the Prime Minister's Office, Ed. Aghajanyan, in the first half of 2020, the office's employees were also awarded bonuses four times, totaling 23,077,400 AMD. In January, 36 employees were awarded bonuses amounting to 7,560,400 AMD, in March, 23 employees received bonuses totaling 2,059,100 AMD, in April, 29 employees were awarded a total of 10,193,600 AMD, and in June, 20 employees received bonuses amounting to 3,264,300 AMD.
Thus, in total, the office of the commissioner has received approximately $63,000 in bonuses.
