‘Joghovurd’: A Criminal Complaint Filed Against the Director of the Armenian National Archive

According to information from the ‘Joghovurd’ newspaper, a criminal complaint has been filed with the Armenian Prosecutor General’s Office against Amatuni Virabyan, the director of the Armenian National Archive. This complaint has subsequently been forwarded to the Arabkir Division of the Police for investigation.

Specifically, it has become known that Armenian citizen Armen Grigoryan, residing in Russia, approached the Prosecutor General’s Office and stated that he had requested information about his pension and work experience from Amatuni Virabyan, who demanded money in return for providing details related to his employment.

As a result, the Prosecutor General’s Office forwarded Grigoryan's complaint to the police to prepare relevant materials. We reached out to the Public Relations and Information Department of the Police to clarify the matter. In response, they confirmed that the Prosecutor General’s Office had sent the citizen's complaint to the Arabkir Division of the Police for further preparation of materials.

Materials are currently being prepared at the Arabkir Division of the Police.
