It Is Impossible to Ease Non-Existent Restrictions: Vahan Hunanian
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan's press secretary Vahan Hunanian wrote on his Facebook page: "Yesterday, MP Edmond Marukyan announced that Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan had promised that the easing of restrictions would affect those going abroad for work, but he refused his promise. First of all, there could not be any easing of restrictions regarding those going abroad for work purely because there were no restrictions imposed by Armenia in this area. That is, it is impossible to ease a non-existent restriction.
As for those going abroad for work, they are unable to enter Russia because the Russian government's decision prohibiting the entry of foreign citizens into the country remains in effect. As Mr. Marukyan indicated in the video he shared, the Deputy Prime Minister stated that on August 12, we will announce solutions.
Regarding the solutions, Tigran Avinyan clearly announced from the podium of the National Assembly yesterday, multiple times. The Deputy Prime Minister said that discussions have begun with the Russian Federation concerning the deadlines and conditions for the restoration of air communication, which will also address the issues of those going abroad for work.
Additionally, to note: the extension of the state of emergency in Armenia in no way affects the restoration of air communication with Russia. The decisions prohibiting the entry of foreign citizens are within the sovereign domain of each country and are not related to the declaration of a state of emergency or its extension in another country.
