Armenian soldiers will participate in the International Army Games 2020. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Shushan Stepanyan.

The competition will involve special forces units, radiation, chemical and biological defense troops, military police officers, as well as personnel from the arms and logistics departments, missile forces, and artillery divisions. Additionally, separate delegations from the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces General Staff will participate in the 'Army-2020' forum.

The International Army Games will kick off on August 23 and conclude on September 5. Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu stated that the arrival of 250 teams is expected, totaling around 6,000 people.

“Invitations have been sent to 90 countries, including NATO member states. Over the past five years, more than 20,000 representatives from the armies of 40 countries have participated in the games. This year, the competitions include 31 events, some of which will traditionally be held in other countries, specifically in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, India, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia, and Uzbekistan. For the first time, Sri Lanka will take part in the 'Field Kitchen' competition,” Shoigu added.
