After Meeting with Rectors, It Will Soon Be Clear Whether Universities Will Reopen or Not: Araik Harutyunyan

After the meeting with rectors, it will soon be clear whether universities will reopen or not. This was stated by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Araik Harutyunyan, in an interview with Radio Free Europe today.

The minister noted that a meeting with rectors is scheduled for today, during which a document regarding the reopening of universities will be prepared to be discussed at the commandant's office and announced.

In response to the question of whether the minister envisions alternative ways to organize classes to avoid health-related issues, Harutyunyan replied that if he did not have such a vision, he would not present such a project. “We have our working guides, and now we are in the phase of improvements, comments, and suggestions, so we can make changes accordingly,” he said, adding that starting classes in September is certain; however, if the tension regarding the spread of the pandemic increases, there will be changes. If not, classes will commence on September 15.
