The Main Reason for Vernissage's Inactivity May Be the Absence of Tourist Influx: Avinyan
After the easing of restrictions in the outdoor activity sector, the possibility of allowing the operation of Vernissage was raised at a special session of the Armenian Parliament. Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan responded to the inquiry from the “Enlightened Armenia” parliamentary faction representative Harutyun Babayan.
“The main issues regarding Vernissage are not the restrictions on its activities but rather the absence of tourist influx. Vernissage is an open market, and such economic activities are allowed,” Avinyan stated. “If it is not functioning at all, we will review and understand the situation. If it is partially functioning, the issue is indeed related to the lack of tourist influx, meaning there may be a problem of customer absence.”
