Suspensions Made in Sevan Hotels, Strengthened Inspections Conducted in Regions and Yerevan
Operations at 8 hotels and a recreation center along the shores of Lake Sevan have been temporarily suspended. The following establishments are prohibited from accepting guests for the next 24 hours: the Sevan Writers' Union recreation center, "Malibu," "Nirvana" recreation area, "Near the Gagari" hotel, "Grig Tour," "Golden Shore," "Gohar Mikayelyan," and "Our Love."
The strengthened inspections by the Health and Labor Inspectorate recorded violations of safety regulations set forth by the head of the emergency situation in order to prevent the spread of the pandemic. Based on these violations, a request for suspension was submitted to the authorities.
Additionally, several hotels in the Sevan coastal area recorded violations today, and a request for suspension will be presented. The suspension efforts are combined with ongoing monitoring activities in the regions and the capital. Inspectorate inspectors are monitoring hotels, recreation centers, industrial and medical organizations, dental offices, pharmacies, banks, major supermarket branches, and communication operator offices, among others.
Although the number of violations has significantly decreased compared to previous months, some violations continue to be recorded. Such violations were noted today in the service offices of one communication operator in Yerevan. Checks at two other major carriers did not result in any discrepancies. The primary shortcomings were on-the-spot corrections, and the operators were provided with consultations and instructions for rectifying them.
Overall, the nature of the observed violations among operators remains consistent, relating to improper management of temperature checks and disinfection logs, absence of covered bins for used masks, lack of changing rooms, missing informational posters, and issues with social distancing and mask-wearing. In cases of serious and combined violations, reports are prepared and sent to the emergency management office. During extensive outreach efforts, inspectors provide detailed information on the rules and norms for preventing the spread of the coronavirus.
