It is time to engage more intensively with our economic agenda, says Prime Minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a consultation meeting during which discussions were held on the implementation of new anti-crisis measures in various sectors of the economy.

“We have gathered today to discuss further steps to support our economy in this crisis situation. So far, we have adopted 22 anti-crisis measures, some of which have been completed, while others are ongoing. In the coming days, we will make decisions based on discussions with representatives from different sectors, but we also have the issue of strategy: how do we plan to overcome the economic crisis? We hope that we are in a phase of recovery in the healthcare sector, and it is time for us to engage more intensively with our economic agenda,” said Prime Minister Pashinyan.

Following this, projects were discussed concerning the preservation of jobs in the tourism sector affected by the crisis, the implementation of grape procurement processes, the provision of preferential credit facilities to organizations for the formation of new capacities, simplification of import and export procedures, construction standards, and the stimulation of capital investments. Various proposals and observations were presented.

Participants in the consultation expressed confidence that both the government's previous anti-crisis measures and the new ones would contribute to the recovery and development of the economy.

Summarizing the results of the consultation, the Prime Minister instructed that the outlined measures be finalized and presented for government discussion and approval.
