Former NSS Director Eduard Martirosyan Appointed Executive Director of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant

The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant has introduced its newly appointed Executive Director, Eduard Martirosyan.

“The ANPP plays a significant role in our country’s economy, particularly in the energy sector. Considering the strategic importance of the nuclear plant, I am confident that Mr. Martirosyan's extensive experience in the field of national security will best serve to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the plant's operations,” stated Suren Papikyan, wishing the newly appointed director success in his future endeavors.

Executive Director Eduard Martirosyan, in turn, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and conveyed confidence that it would be justified through collaborative efforts with industry leaders and top specialists.

Minister Suren Papikyan also addressed upcoming tasks regarding the renovation and modernization of the nuclear plant, particularly emphasizing the organization of procurement processes and renovation works using state financial resources and internal procedures for the first time.

According to the Minister, the plant has undergone structural changes recently to enhance the organization of professional activities, which has established positions for the Executive Director and the First Deputy Director. The Minister wished success to the leadership of the organization and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation and productive activity under the direct leadership of the Executive Director.

It is noteworthy that Eduard Martirosyan previously held the position of Director of the NSS.
